Dog tricks have been entertained and awing people for ages. Your friends not doubt will be impressed when your dog responds to your command and does something either funny or difficult. When you are in search of new dog tricks to teach your canine friend, one of the most important factors that you must think about is your dog's obedience to you. If you have the right combination of praises and treats, you will be able to teach your dog to do almost anything. As a result, it becomes very important to look at throw to teach your dog a trick. Just make sure that they are low in calories, so your dog won't get fat, and that you only use the treat when you want your dog to do tricks. Sit and Stay The sit and stay routine is an old trick, but it seems that audiences never get tired of it. It is a great way to showcase that your dog has great behavior and will really impress your friends. To begin with, get a treat for your dog and put it in your hand. Put your hand in the air above your dog's head. This will encourage him naturally to look up and sit down. As soon as he sits down say "sit". Next, back away from him, keeping your arm in the air at the same height. He will move to follow your hand and continue to look up in the air. He should naturally sit down again, but if he doesn't gently push his bottom to the floor. At this point, say "sit" again. Practice this a couple of times and then give him the treat and lots of love and praise. The next step is a little harder, which is the "stay". Put your hand in your dog's face with an open palm and say "stay". Begin to back away from him. No matter how long he stays, give him a treat and some praise. Practice this over and over again until he can stay for longer periods of time. Finally you will be able to successfully use the sit and stay combination. Bring It Back Another one that is always fun is to teach your dog to bring something back. This can be a ball, or a stick, or just about anything. Most dogs will do this naturally, so start by throwing something for him to retrieve, and when he brings it back, praise him for it. This should lead to a great game that you can play, and that you can use to train your dog!
