Cats have built in knowledge of how to take care of themselves. They are quite independent but they still need their owners to provide safety, health care, comfortable shelter, love, food and water. Spaying or neutering the cat helps control their population. It should have regular check ups with the vet. Cats love to stay at home and they should not be allowed to go out for long periods. Registering cats is important so that it gets an ID tag which will ensure its safe return should it get lost.
